Saisevak Motilal Gupta, born in 1934 in a known business family of Faridabad known as Mehndiwalas, graduated in 1955 from Benaras Hindu University .

After having led a life of a seasoned businessman, Shri Gupta accidentally one afternoon, in 1986, while passing in front of the Lodhi Road Temple of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi, felt within him an urge to suddenly go inside the temple and then came face to face with Baba. He felt so enticed by the compassionate look into the eyes of Baba that he instantly made Baba the ‘be all and end all' of his life. From that day onwards he became completely devoted to Baba, giving up his flourishing business and the lure of money.

As the fountain of bhakti grew stronger in him, he felt that on his sprawling farm land amidst rural and peaceful surroundings in Faridabad , across the canals, on Tigaon Road , a temple of Baba should come up from where Baba could shed His splendour on people in and around Faridabad .

By the Grace of Baba, he has been instrumental in establishing a huge and beautiful temple complex on four acres of his land donated by him for this purpose. Today thousands of people are drawn to this temple from all over the world. Besides daily Arties on Shirdi pattern, regular Bhajans, Parvachans including Narayan Seva (Jan Bhandaras) are held on Thursdays, 2 nd Sundays and other important festivals.

In October 1997, he organized an ‘International Convention of Shirdi Sai d evotees' the first of its kind, at Faridabad . It was a unique experience of its kind on International level for spreading Sai Awareness and was attended to by several hundred devotees from India and abroad

After he took to the devotion of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi, a desire soon grew within him that he should serve the cause of the under – privileged in some form or the other, following the footsteps of the Master. He found service through Homeopathy, of which he had some knowledge, a way to achieve his aim. Starting with a bag in his hand with only a few homeopathic medicines his concept of service through homoeopathy has now grown into 14 (Fourteen) full time Charitable Homeopathic Dispensaries based not only in Faridabad and Delhi but in some other towns of the country, serving about 1200 patients per day, incurring an expenditure of Rs. 1 Lac per month.

The Medical Services have been further expanded by setting up 8 (Eight) Eye Centres performing about 50 Cataract (IOL) operations per month as also by providing free plastic surgery to Cleft Lip Children and Polio Surgery including supply of Artificial limbs for children up to 16 years of age.

To provide free education to poor children along with day meal, school bag, books, summer and winter uniforms a primary school has been established at Sai Dham, so that these street mongers could turn out to be useful citizens of the country.

Likewise for poor ladies and widows, to make them earn livelihood, a Vocational Training Centre has been established to train them in Stitching, Embroidery and Knitting. More training courses like making candles, pickles and papad etc. shall be introduced shortly.

Shri Gupta is an example of how an individual can attain the objectives of his life through sheer hard work and dedication. The selfless efforts being put in by Shri Gupta are sure to go a long way in alleviating to some extent the sufferings of humanity.
